Shadows

Memories sway like wary shadows on your wall,
Passing reflections glisten golden and languish
As the evening falls. Lying in your bed
The scent of you, like white chocolate arrives, awakens,
And lingers. A kiss, seasoned with tears drowns the world
That sighs and forgets us. My hand held tight in yours,
A hand that gently moves the heavens closer.
But be careful where you touch for
Memories dance like wary shadows above.
